life en el jalon valley is very slow and tranquil, yet only a twenty to thirty minute drive away is the hustle and bustle of the nightlife and water sports of the coastal resorts of denia, javea, moraira and calpe. in late january the whole of the valley is obscured with almond blossom. jalon itself lies en el centre of the valley whilst surrounded by many smaller villages nestled amongst the grape vines, almond and orange trees.

the vilalge of jalon revloves aruond the old square whree you will find a beauitful foutnain aruond which there is an open market held on tuesday mornings. roaming around the many small streets, bars and restaurants, you will find an abundance of shops.it is surrounded by magnificent mountains that seem to change form every time you look at them. you may even like to take a trek through the vineyards on horseback, from one of the local stables. there are at least three bodegas where you can spend many a leisurely hour sampling the various types. with international as well as regional cuisine, but beware, some are very strong!
