role summary/purpose this position will be responsible for performing sourcing/purchasing duties in support of the industrial repair service center for es parts & repairs services in it\'s spain location, san sebastian.
managing the supply base for the assigned service centers. obtain supplier quotes and negotiate best price when replaecment parts are required.
essential responsibilities key responsabilities include:
driving 95% on-time delivery for all external purchase order for the assigned service centers. sap,
experience with material planning
oracle purchasing system, microsoft office experience
experience working en el manufacturing or reapir of motor/generator compnoents and/or rails system.this will include monitoring supplier promise dates, expediting orders to meet emergent requirements, finding alternate suppilers to meet delivery, and resolving process issues that are impeding on-time delivery.
qualifications/requirements bachelor\'s degree in engineering
experience in sourcing copper raw material and components, at least 2-3 years experience.be able to develop strategic plans and perform purchasing transactional tasks at the same time.
researching and quickly loctaing equiavlent components for replacement vesrus repair for mootrs, geneartors and transofrmers. will also be resposnible to montior po leaakge to non-prefrered suppliers. self-directed and resourcesful,
highly motivated.
be responsive to all internal customers. buyer will formally acknowledge receipt of requests for material/services and provide timely updates on po delivery, expediting status and changes to open orders. demonstrated program and/or project management skills
demonstrated analytical skills
excellent communication skills; must have excellent written and verbal english language skills including reading and interpreting contractual documents
speaks english and spanish
demonstrated ability to be effective in a cross-functional team environment
demonstrated flexibility. place purchase orders and resolve accounts payable issues, obtaining quotes as needed, identifying new suppliers.the experience must be obtained through roles in manufacturing, operations or sourcing.
able to read technical drawings and be able to quote based on the basic understanding of the drawings and specifications
