barceloneta or “little barcelona” is the charming seaside neighborhood in cuitat vella, next to the city centre.
today barceloneta is the best place to go for fresh seafood and paella en el city with its numerous terraced restaurants overlooking the harbour. along the shoreline, the beach bars or “chiringitos” serve tasty snacks and play lively music all day, while a little further along the boardwalk towards port olympic you will find some of barcelona´s best nightclubs.
